Reside in Uruguay

A great place to live!

Who’d have thought

Who would have thought that 102 years later the story would be repeated. In the 1920s, Alfredo von Metzen would be recognized as the first German bachelor of his generation in the city of Buenos Aires. 2022, not only his great-granddaughter, who was born in Germany, 102 years later, is completing her bachelor’s degree at the Deutsche Schule Montevideo, but the other history repeats itself. The story of the thousands of Germans fleeing the political, economic and cultural conditions of a country and a war that is only a few kilometers away.

Germans and not only Germans. Those who are looking for a new way of life for their families, a new way to develop and integrate in a new country that besides a political stability, promises a secure future, in a safe place, and that for many years was called the Switzerland of Latin America.

Here it is that after 102 years I live again what my grandfather, Alfred von Metzen, once lived, to welcome and help hundreds of families, not only Germans, to be able to reside in Uruguay, in the small Switzerland of Latin America.
I welcome you and there is no worse doubt than the one that is not evacuated and no worse question than the one that is not answered.
